In this gameplay video, Ready Set Indie Games
plays Spindle Demo on PC.
This is the Indie Arena Booth 2021 Demo of Spindle. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in the final version of the game, also there may be some noticeable bugs
in the game.
Spindle is an adventure game in which you play as what you would believe to be the grim reaper and a pig, but there is a huge plot twist to the story that of course, I'm not going to give away because
what's the fun in that, but what I can tell you is that in Spindle you wake up and there is a pig guiding you telling you that the spindle has been broken and you need to investigate it. You then go into a crypt to investigate what seems to be going on. As
usual, I'm trying to keep the story as vague as possible as to not spoil it.
The controls to me were great in my opinion. Although Spindle is a new game it has controls similar to that of old school adventure games
from NES. In the demo, you had to use multiple swipes to kill an enemy, but the character you play swipes just once with his scythe and I love that mechanic because it makes really watch your surroundings accordingly and makes you kinda plan ahead in battles.
I honestly can say that I was very impressed with what I saw of Spindle and the story pulled me in. Even if the Demo itself was not that long, it was just enough to make me want more of the game, and more of the game we shall
have as the game does/did have a Kickstarter that at the time of writing this had reached its goal. I can only imagine what the final product of the game will be like.
If you would like to play Spindle for yourself,
you can get the demo during the Indie Arena Booth 2021 Event which is going on from August 25, 2021 - August 29, 2021. I am not sure if the demo will be available after that time so if you like what you see of the gameplay be sure to wishlist the game on steam
if you enjoy it as well:
