The Following game Tamarindos Freaking Dinner was provided to me for free by the developers Jacob Jazz and I would like to thank Jacob Jazz for providing a free copy of the game to play for review.

In this gameplay video, Ready Set Indie Games plays Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner Demo on PC.

This is the Indie Arena Booth 2021 Demo of Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in the final version of the game, also there may be some noticeable bugs in the game.

When I first came across Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner it was on my Twitter feed during another wishlist Wednesday. I was immediately drawn to the graphics of the game as they gave me sort of an old-school Psychonauts and 90's game vibe and so I wishlisted the game for that alone. So I was pretty thrilled to see that Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner was going to be a part of the Indie Booth Arena at Gamescon 2021. I reached out to the developer Jacob Jazz, who provided me with a code for the demo of the game to give it a spin.

I thought the demo was fantastic personally, and I was really upset when the demo ended because I wanted more, I really wanted so much more of the game. I loved the references to the pop culture of the 90's which added to the charm of the game.

The game does use both controller and keyboard and mouse with the game and at times the controls were a little wonky. In the begin, it kept spinning because it picked up the controller, and once I unplugged the controller it stopped. Once I got inside the mansion the mouse didn't work but the controller did. Again as this was a demo I expected for it to be some bugs.

Overall, Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner is off to a great start and I cannot wait until the full version of the game releases.

If you would like to play Tamarindo's Freaking Dinner for yourself, you can get the demo during the Indie Arena Booth 2021 Event which is going on from August 25, 2021 - August 29, 2021. I am not sure if the demo will be available after that time so if you like what you see of the gameplay be sure to wishlist the game on steam if you enjoy it as well:
