The Following game BECASTLED was provided to me for free by the developers/publishers of the game. I would like to thank the developers/publishers for providing a free copy of the game to play on my stream.
The following Live Stream Footage of BECASTLED is either an alpha version, beta version, early access or, demo of the game. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in the final version of the game, also
there may be some noticeable bugs in the game.
In this Live Stream, Ready Set Indie Games plays BECASTLED on PC.
BECASTLED is an early access base building game
in which you have to build a base and at night you fight the mobs of creatures that come out. I tend to really like base-building games, but there are some things in BECASTLED that need improving and because this is an early access game there is time and room
I started off with the Tutorial mainly to test the game, and so I stopped the Tutorial in the middle. When I came back into the game the Tutorial stopped working, so I had to figure out some things
on my own. Therefore there should be an option that if you load up the game and are in the middle of the Tutorial that the game asks if you would like to continue the Tutorial or not. I mean a few people may play a little bit of the tutorial and not need it,
but then you have some of those that do want to finish it out, especially if like in most games you get an achievement for it.
Another thing and I'm not sure if it is a bug or not, but I had a hard time getting
the sawmill to add in the beginning. I figured out you have to add it near the castle for it to work. However, later on I was able to place one freely. So I think explaining that a little better could be helpful as well. If it the first one has to be placed
near the castle and then all others can be free to put wherever you prefer then I am okay with that, just want that to be mentioned so it's not as confusing.
One of the things I really did like about the game, is
the customization of how long you want your game to be. So you can do as low as 10 Days and go up to Unlimited and I really like that the game did offer that, so for those who don't want to do unlimited or a chill mode of gameplay, have the option to give
themselves a challenge. Also, I liked the controls and did not find them complicated, sometimes in base building games the controls can be over complicated by adding unnecessary buttons that do things. I am happy that BECASTLED makes the controls simple.
Overall BECASTLED is on the right track, and I did enjoy the game and again it is in Early Access, so the game I played may or may not be the full version of the game, but I still recommend it.
