Disclaimer: This is the Ludo Narra Con 2021 Demo of the game and therefore it is best to realize that the following gameplay footage of No Longer Home is either an alpha version, beta version, early access or, demo of the game. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in the final version of the game, also there may be some noticeable bugs in the game.

No Longer Home is an adorable point-and-click exploration game that is coming later this year to PC and macOS. In the No Longer Home demo, you get to explore the flat that Bo and his flatmate Ao live in. Ao seems to have things worked out for themselves, while Bo struggles a bit. As their four years of university are coming to an end Bo and Ao must pack up their things and move out so you get to experience all of the emotions and memories that go along with moving out and moving on.

I loved the art style of the game and thought it was fantastic. I loved how you got to see progress in the story from the prelude to when you get to explore the house. The game is very relatable in the sense of how hard it is moving on with your life after something that has been a big part of your life, and I could relate to how Bo was feeling and it made me feel really in touch with the game.

The controls are pretty simple as it uses a keyboard and mouse, and this is a game that is beautiful and leaves you to your thoughts and makes you want to play more of it. Another cool feature I say at the beginning of the demo was a feature to turn on audio descriptions. Which I thought was very cool and thoughtful of the developers as you don’t see this feature in many games, but with a game such as No Longer Home, it is nice to have it included so that everyone can enjoy it.

No Longer Home will be releasing sometime later this year, and if you liked what you saw of the gameplay, and you’re looking for a story-rich exploration game. Then I highly recommend wishlisting this for PC or macOS via Steam, so that you are notified when the game does release.
