The following Live Stream Footage of Duru: A Game About A Mole Rat and Depression is either an alpha version, beta version, early access or, demo of the game. Therefore, the footage you see may or may not be featured in
the final version of the game, also there may be some noticeable bugs in the game.
In this Live Stream, Ready Set Indie Games plays Duru: A Game About A Mole Rat and Depression from IWOCon 2021.
Duru: A Game About A Mole Rat and Depression is a puzzle-platformer game, that is visually pleasing to look at. I like to refer to these types of games as art in motion, as there are no voices overs and because the story is told through
pictures it is left up to the player to interpret the story.
My interpretation is that our mole rat friend brought food for his village and they were happy with this, but with bringing the food he also brought
parasites that destroyed the food and cause the villagers to leave, which then made him sad, and the only mole rat to stay behind is his friend, and together they are going to find food to bring the villagers back.
Again, I am not sure if this is the storyline, but it is what I interpret the game as. If you want to see what the game is truly about I recommend picking it up.
There were some bugs but again this was
a Demo and the developer has said they will take care of the bugs after seeing the game being played again. So, hoping that it will be more polished after the bugs are fixed.
