In light of all the things that have been happening. Steam has gone and done something very awesome, due to a lot of the Cons having to cancel. In a sense, steam has brought sort of a Digital Video Game Con to us in their Steam Game Festival.

The Festival is going on from March 18, 2020, until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT. The festival can be accessed from the following link:

https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamgamefestival-spring

(Link Opens in Another window)

It allows you to watch others playing the demos and even gives you the option to try out the games yourself during the time of the Festival. Just in case you are looking for that con feel.

Below are videos gameplay of games feature on the Steam Game Festival Page that I got a chance to play. There were so many games to choose from therefore I choose ten games that caught my eyes and those are the games that I covered.

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Pushy and Pully in Blockland (DEMO)

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Pushy and Pully in Blockland Demo on PC.

Pushy and Pully in Blockland is an adorable game that can be played single-player or co-op via local or "Remote Play Together" on STEAM. You play as Pushy or Pushy and Pully (If playing with a friend) who has landed on Blockland and have some parts that have come up missing from their ship.

Therefore, they must fight off the monsters in Blockland to regain their parts. The game is really fun and has a Bomberman vibe to it a bit, with pushing the blocks together on the monster and creating things.

Overall, it's colorful nature and puzzle-like components, make this an excellent game and I am looking forward to its release which from pushyandpully.com says May 2020 and will go for a price of $14.99 USD.

If you would like to play the demo of Pushy and Pully in Blockland, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020 10AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Going Under PC [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Going Under Demo on PC.

Going Under is a satirical funny parody dungeon crawler in which you play as an intern working for the newest startup that has been purchase by Cubicle. You have been giving the best task that an Intern can ask for. Fighting the Goblins in the basement who keep stealing the office supplies! Okay, so maybe not the most ideal intern job, but it's really fun. Anything can be used as a weapon and I thought that was cool.

Overall, the game is awesome and I enjoyed it a lot.

If I had one thing that I would love to see and this might just be in the Demo, but I would love that if you have already played the game that the pop-ups disappear. Unless they are intentionally put there as a gag then I would understand that, but if not if after you have played if it may be asked if you wanted to turn off the pop up about how to play that would be great. Other than that I felt the game was really awesome and am looking forward to its full release.

If you would like to play the demo of Going Under, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

In order to this, he must travel to Autumn and Rid it of the Rot. The game has an interesting story and I am looking forward to seeing what the full game will offer.

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Laters Daters Demo PC (Steam Game Festival Spring 2020)

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Laters Daters Demo on PC.

Before I start my review let me just say that the title song is stuck in my head, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head. I love it and it's very catchy. In Later Daters you get to play as a Senior Citizen who after an unfortunate event at home has been force to move into a retirement home. You get to decide if you will be she/he/they and if you had a partner or were a lone wolf. You even get to choose your companion which as of right now is a cat, dog, or a friendly little robot.

The game is like any other dating sims, giving you an interesting story to meet others, and then eventually choosing someone you are going to love for the rest of your days. The music was excellent and the art design is pretty good too. I am really looking forward to the full release of this when it comes out on April 16, 2020.

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: We Should Talk Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays We Should Talk Demo (PC) from the Steam Game Festival Spring 2020.

We Should Talk is a very interesting simulation game, as it does something that most simulation games have not done in the past, or at least that I have seen. In this very short Demo, you go into a bar and talk with the bartender. However, what makes the talking scenes so different and unique is you get to plan out every single part of the conversation. So, it gives a little more of customization feel to it, instead of picking up a line that has already been set in stone. I thought it was a new and excellent approach to the simulation genre and was sad when the demo ended. I am looking forward to more of this game when it releases.

If you would like to play the demo of We Should Talk, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: When the Past Was Around Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays When the Past Was Around Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020].

There are no words to really describe When the Past Was Around, from it's gorgeous artwork to it's puzzles the game is just beautiful and astounding. In When The Past Was Around, which is a point and click puzzle game, you play as a young girl, or perhaps the wife of or lover of a mysterious person (remain vague for those who may read the description before watching the video). The puzzles do seem simple, but then again it was a demo of the game and I imagine that they will become more difficult as the game continues. This game was delightful to play and I am looking forward to the rest of the full game.

If you would like to play the demo of When the Past Was Around, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl Demo (PC) [SGF Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl Demo (PC) [SGF Spring 2020].

Jay and Silent Bob are back!! Well at least in the form of an epic 8-bit beat em up that reminds me of a lot like River City Ransom. In this beat 'em up you get to play as Jay and Silent Bob! As a single-player, you play as Jay first then switch over to Silent Bob and vice versa as long as the other has the reserve to do so. In local two-player co-op you and a friend take the duel through a mall brawl, with all the antics you can expect from Jay and Silent Bob. The game is fun but is also a bit difficult giving it that old school retro vibe that most of us crave.

Even though I struggled with the game, I still enjoyed it a lot and recommend it to add to your collection.

If you would like to play the demo of Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Jack Axe Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Jack Axe Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020].

In Jack Axe, you play as Jack a young girl who is playing with her childhood friend Red in what looks to be an underground mine. When Jack comes across an Axe in the mines or caverns and is told that only a man can wield it by some unknown voice, who then says they are surprised the Axe hasn't killed her yet, and that she must turn it over to the true wielder when she finds him.

Okay, so the God or Axe might be rude a bit, but the game is actually quite fun, and if you are looking for a Celeste like game then this is the perfect game for you, as it has all the hardships that games like that can offer.

If you would like to play the demo of Jack Axe, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Eldest Souls Demo (PC) Steam Game Festival Spring 2020

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Eldest Souls Demo (PC) Steam Game Festival Spring 2020.

Eldest Souls is a 2D pixel art game, in which you play as a Knight who has been sent to island ruled by the gods. There are no other enemies in the game, it's just Boss after Boss. So think of this as a cross between Shadow of Colossus and Dark Souls. Due to the fact of the constant boss fights and the difficult of Dark Souls games.

The game was really fun especially after the mechanics were figured out. It became even more fun. If you are a fan of Dark Souls games and even the Shadow of Colossus games this is a great game to add to your collection.

If you would like to play the demo of Eldest Souls, you can grab the Demo up until March 23, 2020, at 10 AM PDT when the Steam Game Festival will come to an end. The game is available on the following platforms:

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Roki Demo (PC) Steam Game Festival Spring 2020

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Roki Demo (PC) Steam Game Festival Spring 2020.

Roki is an incredible adventure puzzle game in which you play as Tove, a young girl who seems to be in a world that resembles that of a frozen wasteland. She seems to be looking for her father or is living with her father, but Tove appears to be a kind and sweet child. Which you get to see in this short play of the Demo.

I thought that the game was beautiful and that the story seems to be interesting. I am looking forward to playing the full game when it releases which says that it is supposed to release sometime in 2020.

Ready Set Indie Games Presents: Chicory: A Colorful Tale Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020]

In this gameplay video from Ready Set Indie Games, TripG87 plays Chicory: A Colorful Tale Demo (PC) [Steam Game Festival Spring 2020].

Chicory: A Colorful Tale is a very unique and interesting game. In this game, you play as a dog, who works for Chicory, the wielder of the brush that is used to paint the world with color. In the middle of cleaning, the world suddenly becomes black and white. Upon leaving your duty of cleaning, you find Chircory's brush out in the main corridor, but Chircory is nowhere in sight. It's up to you to find Chircory, as well as add color to the now colorless world.

What I like about the game is that it can be really relaxing, as overall it feels like an interactive coloring book. However, it still has gameplay elements such as platforming and puzzle-solving, which doesn't exactly focuses solely on the coloring. Also, the music in the game was pretty good too. I can imagine relaxing with the game after a long day.

The game is currently still in development.
