In the Final Wave of Season 2 of Indie Game Showcase. TripG87 Plays games that are currently on Kickstarter and are looking for funding with the exception of the first game in the showcase.
Indie Game Showcase Season 3 will begin June 7, 2019 at 8PM EST
Games in the Showcase are:
Knock Knock The Traveling Soulsman
In Knock Knock The Traveling Soulsman, you play as Dave Hill, a demon who is so bad at his job that the Devil is giving him a chance to collect five souls or he will lose his job in hell.
The graphics are great and I really enjoyed the game. I know this was done for the recent Ludum Dare 44 but I would love to play more of this, and hope it gets a full release version.
Mimik is a platformer in which you play as a little slime. Probably one of the shortest gameplays I have done for an Indie Game Showcase, but in this playthrough it shows of what the game has and the music at least. The game currently has a kickstarter that is ending on May 18, 2019 AT 6:25 PM EDT and is looking to raise $4000 USD to fund their project.
If you would like to help make this game a reality visit:
Oh My Dirt!
Oh My dirt is a platformer in which you play as a window cleaner who appears to be paying back for a procedure that was done on his kid or partner, not 100% sure because the way they communicate is through chiptunes, which is pretty awesome, so it allows for you to make up your own story. You take the dirt from windows to bash baddies as well as collect coins to pay off the $3000 debt. The game also has an endless mode. The game is has a Kickstarter that ends June 4, 2019 at 7:01AM EDT and is looking to raise $2008 USD.
If you would like to help make this game a reality visit:
Mongrel is a game for those who played Conker's Bad Fur Day. In Mongrel, you play as a frog who lives in a kingdom that looks to be predominately male and that all of those who are evil of the evil are flushed down a toliet to the unknown. One day, the king flushed the most evil of all down, and the evil being decided to take revenge after discovering a shrine of sorts. You as this frog are going to put an end to his evils deeds.
The game is interesting although I would love to be able to have full controller support. Some of the controls did not work for controller, but you can use keyboard and mouse as well. Adding the controller support would be awesome and make it more comfortable to play.
The game was on Kickstarter but sadly it did not reach its goal. There was talk of another campaign starting up. Here is the link to the campaign for you to view:

Exemption is a Dark Souls inspired game in which you take on the role of a Shieldmaiden, Mage, or Archer and go across the lands. The game is still in it’s early stages of development and so there are some bugs. I did really enjoy the game and would love to see this project completed.
The game is has a Kickstarter that ends on May 29, 2019 at 2:35 PM EDT and is trying to raise $4000 USD.

In the 7th wave of Season 2 of Indie Game Showcase from Ready Set Indie Games; TripG87 Plays the following games on PC.
Songbird Symphony is a rhythm based game. In which you play as adorable baby peacock (or at least a chick) who is trying to learn his way through the world through rhythm and dance. If you remember games like Parappa the Rapper, or are into rhythm games this is right up your alley.
Dolphin Island 2
Dolphin Island 2 is the sequel top Dolphin Island and does pick up where the last story left off of. This is an action adventure game and was a lot of fun to play. You play as Aisha who is in Dolphin Island to see what is going on with the world and rescue people. I did not play the first game to this so I am unaware of the entire story. However, The sequel is still in development.
Demon Key is a platformer indie game that pays tribute to games from the NES days. You play as a man who must save his wife from a demon who has capture her. There are 8 levels that you must get through and the game is pretty tough., but lots of fun.
From the creators of Fran Bow comes a whole new game. In Little Misfortune you play as Misfortune, a little girl who unfortunately is going to meet her demise. Lead by Mr. Voice (the narrator of our tale with Misfortune) she must complete missions in a game in order to achieve eternal happiness, in which she hopes to give to her mother.
The game was fantastic with it's visuals although I would have like to see more from the demo, I am most definitely looking forward to playing the full release of this game.

IIn this 6th Wave of Indie Game Showcase, TripG87 plays the following games from itch.io:
In Gunny Bunny is a platformer shooter in which you take on the role of a cute bunny, who must gun down baddies in order to advance. In the future, I hope that the controls can be worked on a bit as they were a bit confusing and rough. The game has a lot of potential.
Zoe is a shmup in which you play as Zoe who must destroy a paintbrush and other objects along a film strip. The unique design (which looks to be a bit like claymation to me) is what drew me to it. I hope that the game does well and ends up on Steam and other platforms, as I believe it deserves to be on there.
Twin Tiger Shark
Twin Tiger Shark is a shmup that does a great job of paying respects to the shmups of the 80's. I really enjoyed this game alot and found myself getting lost in it. There is an online leaderboard as well and the game offers three different modes. Right now the game is on itch.io and google play. I hope that this makes it way onto to steam as well because I would pick it up there as well.
Retro Space Ball
Retro Space Ball is a game that combines a Shmup with Pinball. When I first say this game on twitter, I thought it was an interesting concept. The developer was pretty awesome and so I decided to give the game a go. I really enjoyed the game and it looks really promising. Looking forward to more of this game, and hope it also makes it way over to Steam.
